About Fandonia

Do you collect any of my data?

We carry no advertising, we don’t track you, we never sell or trade your information, and we never use what you put into our apps to train anything. That holds for everything we make, with no exceptions. Where your data actually sits depends on the title: most have no server at all and keep everything on your phone, while QuoteVitals has an account, because a tool that compares documents from six vendors has to hold them somewhere your colleagues can see them too. Each title’s page says which it is, and our Privacy Policy lists them all in one place.

Do I need an account?

For most of our titles, no — there’s no sign-up at all, and nothing to forget the password to. QuoteVitals is the exception: it needs an email and password so that your organization’s documents are yours and not somebody else’s. That’s the only reason we ask.

What are you working on?

Three titles, all in development: a purchasing tool for hospitals and two learning apps for young children. Each one has its own page under Games & Apps with its description, its details, and its terms. We don’t announce release dates until we’re sure of them.

Is anything in your apps real?

Depends which one. Our games are fiction, written for entertainment — any resemblance to real people, places, or events is purely coincidental. Our learning apps for children are true but simplified for young readers, so they’re a first introduction rather than a reference. Our tools for work are aids that you check, not answers you rely on: a flag on a quote is a question worth asking, not a finding of fact, and the absence of one is not a guarantee that nothing was missed. None of it is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice.

Can I use a Fandonia app in my business?

For the work tools, yes — expressly so, including by the colleagues you invite, and anything the app produces is yours to use commercially without crediting us. The specific title’s page says so in its own terms. What you can’t do is resell or redistribute the app itself, or use it to run a comparison service for third parties.

Purchases and devices

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap “Restore purchases.” Make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy. If it still doesn’t work, email us with your store receipt and we’ll sort it out.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds go through them: reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or the “Order history” page in Google Play. If you get stuck, tell us and we’ll help.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

For our device-only titles, your progress and settings travel with your device backup — use your phone’s own backup or transfer feature (iCloud Backup or Google One backup, or the device-to-device transfer when you set up a new phone) and the app’s data comes along. For QuoteVitals it’s simpler: sign in on the new device and your comparisons are there. Purchases restore separately through the store, as above.

I use QuoteVitals — where do my quotes actually live?

In your organization’s account on our server, encrypted in transit and at rest, scoped so that nobody outside your organization can reach them. That’s the whole reason this title has an account: a comparison is something several people need to open, and it has to survive the laptop it was started on. You can export everything at any time — the bid tab as a spreadsheet, the memo as a PDF, and your original documents exactly as you uploaded them. Its page spells out what’s stored, for how long, and what happens if a subscription lapses.

Can I put patient information in QuoteVitals?

No. It’s a purchasing tool for vendor quotes and specifications, not a clinical system. Don’t upload protected health information, clinical records, or anything identifying a patient — we aren’t a HIPAA business associate for it unless we’ve signed a business associate agreement with your organization, and even then it isn’t intended to receive protected health information. If something like that reaches us, tell us and we’ll purge it and confirm when it’s done.

Does an AI read my quotes?

Yes, and we would rather say so here than let you find out later. QuoteVitals extracts figures and terms using Claude, Anthropic's model, through Anthropic's commercial API — so your documents leave our systems for the length of that request. Anthropic does not train on content sent through the API, deletes inputs and outputs within 30 days, and you keep all rights to what you send. We train nothing of our own on your documents, and corrections your team's reviewers make are reused only inside your own organization. Its page lists every company involved and what each one can see.

How do I delete my data?

For our device-only titles, deleting the app deletes it — nothing remains with us, because nothing was ever sent to us. For QuoteVitals, you can delete an individual comparison — which removes every document, extraction, and flag belonging to it — or your whole account, and we’ll remove it from our live systems on the timeline set out in its retention and deletion policy. If you emailed us and want that correspondence removed, just ask.

For parents

Are your children’s apps safe for my kid?

They’re built to Apple’s Kids Category and Google Play’s designed-for-families rules: no advertising of any kind, no third-party advertising or analytics code, no data collection, no chat or user-generated content, and no social features. Any link that leaves the app, and any purchase, sits behind a parental gate a young child can’t pass. There’s no sign-up, no email, and no name — so there is nothing about your child for anyone to hold.

What about COPPA?

Our children’s apps collect no personal information from anyone, so they collect none from children. That makes them compliant by construction rather than by policy — there’s no account to close, no data to request, and nothing for us to delete, because nothing ever reached us. Questions are welcome at direction@fandonia.app.

Everything else

I found a bug.

Thank you! Email us with what you were doing when it happened, your device and OS version, and a screenshot or screen recording if you have one. We read every report.

Can I stream or make videos of your apps and games?

Yes, please do. Personal and non-commercial use is always fine, and monetized videos and streams are fine too. A link back to fandonia.app is appreciated.
