Privacy Policy

The short version. We carry no advertising, we do not track you, we never sell or trade your information, and we never use what you put into our apps to train anything. Most of our titles store everything on your device and have no server at all. One — QuoteVitals — has an account, because it compares documents that several people in an organization need to read. Each title's page says which kind it is.

This policy is written to stay true as we build more than one kind of thing. The rules in section 1 hold everywhere, without exception. Section 2 tells you where your data lives for each title, and section 3 covers the one title that has a server, in detail.

1. The rules that hold everywhere

These apply to every game, every app, and this website. They are not subject to a title's own terms, and no title can weaken them.

2. Where your data lives, title by title

Each title's page carries its own statement of what it stores, and those statements form part of this policy. As it stands today:

If a title ever changes which of these it is, we will update this policy and that title's page before the change ships, and the app will tell you inside the app. We do not make that kind of change quietly.

3. QuoteVitals and its account

QuoteVitals is a purchasing tool for hospitals and other organizations that buy equipment on competitive quotes. Unlike our other titles it has accounts and a server, and it reads uploaded quotes with Anthropic's Claude model through Anthropic's commercial API. What QuoteVitals holds, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how to export or delete it are set out in the QuoteVitals Privacy Policy at quotevitals.app/privacy and its retention and deletion policy. Those documents control for QuoteVitals. The rules in section 1 apply to QuoteVitals as they apply everywhere.

4. Purchases

Our titles are paid up front, offer optional in-app purchases, or — where a title runs a service that costs money to run — may carry a subscription. Every purchase made through an app store is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your payment details. We receive aggregate sales reports from the stores that do not identify you. Purchase entitlements are verified with the store on your device so that purchases can be restored on your other devices.

5. What Apple and Google may collect

The App Store and Google Play collect information about downloads and, if you have opted in through your device settings, crash and diagnostic reports. They may share aggregated, non-identifying versions of this with developers. We do not add our own crash-reporting or diagnostic tools to our games or device-only apps. QuoteVitals is the exception: its web app and iPhone app can send error reports to Sentry so we can find and fix failures, as described in the QuoteVitals Privacy Policy, and those reports never contain document content, names or email addresses. You control this sharing in your device's privacy settings.

6. If you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation, and we delete it on request.

7. Children

Our children's titles — Animals App and Manners App — collect no personal information from anyone, and therefore none from children. They have no accounts, no servers, no advertising, and no way for a child to send anything anywhere. QuoteVitals is a business tool and is not directed to children. Links out of our children's titles, and any purchase in them, sit behind a parental gate. If we learn that a child under 13 has sent us personal information without a parent's consent, for example by email, we will delete it. If you have a concern, please contact us.

8. Your rights

Privacy laws in many places give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information a company holds about you. For our device-only titles there is nothing for us to give you or delete, because the data never reaches us — it is on your device, under your control, and deleting the app deletes it. For QuoteVitals, its own privacy policy explains how to export and delete, and you can also simply ask us. We do not charge for this and we do not make it difficult.

9. This website

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, fonts, or advertising. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard, short-lived server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability under its own policies.

10. If this ever changes

If a title needs to start sending information off your device, we will update this policy and that title's page before it ships, describe exactly what is sent and why, and the app will ask for your permission before it does so (for a title directed to children, a parent's verifiable consent, obtained before anything is sent). Material changes are announced in the app's release notes. Silent changes are not something we do.
